Pros and cons

Description

Safe working load

Size

  • Communication with the patient is easier as the ears are free
  • The vacuum mattress has arm supports. This prevents the arms from dangling out of the mattress.
  • Because the patient’s arms are free, it is easier to administer medication intravenously during transport.
  • The position of the restraint straps prevents touching intimate body parts (around the breasts and crotch)
  • The handles are removable, so they are easy to clean or replace individually, e.g., due to damage
  • It is not possible to drag the vacuum mattress on the ground like an evacuation mattress.
  • The load capacity is limited to 150 kg.

A vacuum mattress is a medical device to immobilise, stabilise, and/or evacuate patients. Vacuum mattress Prime is packed with innovations not yet applied to vacuum mattresses. Think of the arm supports that prevent arms from dangling out of the vacuum mattress. Communication with the patient is also much easier, as the ears are not covered. Vacuum mattress with extra armrests

It is not always possible to immobilise the patient’s arms on the mattress. For example, because the patient is too wide. You don’t want the arms then dangling around on the outside. Thanks to the innovative arm supports, you can fix the arms close to the mattress.

This also gives you the freedom to administer an infusion to the patient.

No touching of intimate areas

The clips of the fixation straps are on the side of the vacuum mattress. As a result, you never work around intimate zones when closing and opening the fixation straps.

The ears are free. Always.

Quite a relief for the patient as this improves communication between caregiver and patient. This can also reduce patient anxiety because they always hear what is happening.

Manual or machine vacuum drawing

Thanks to the so-called fingertip valve, you can vacuum the vacuum mattress mechanically. This can be done using a so-called ‘suction device’. The mattress is fully vacuumed in about 60 seconds. Prefer it by hand? A hand pump is available separately.

To clean, completely clean the holder with water and/or mild soapy water and wipe with a soft, lint-free cloth.

If there is still visible dirt on the product, repeat the cleaning process.
