The RoccoShield mattress is a tear resistant mattress for seclusion rooms. Due to the RoccoShield technology, you can provide a mattress to inmates and/or patients that demonstrate complex or aggressive behaviour. Or when they are suicidal.

The mattress is completely sealed and welded. As a result, the seams aren’t visible, so you can offer the patient or inmate the best protection possible. The outer cover around the mattress is a PVC fabric, which is extremely strong. RoccoShield mattresses can also be used in places where there is a high risk of self-harm or complex behaviour.

Fully sealed seclusion mattress

The seclusion mattress is fully sealed and welded. This means the mattress doesn’t have any zips or cords.

The seclusion mattress is also free from protrusions, sharp corners, or internal frames, that may cause injury to the occupant.

Fire retardant

Both the foam core and the outer cover meet strict fire-retardant requirements.

RIVM-norm

The RIVM recommends to equip a seclusion room with "a mattress that includes a washable mattress cover.
The RoccoShield mattress meets this standard.

High tear strength

The PVC cover that surrounds the mattress has a high tear strength. As much as 270 Newton. It has been tested according to DIN53356.
